Buying Guide for Umbrellas
Before embarking, measure your space and the size of your table, since there are a number of sizes available.
The Best Umbrellas have the following:
- Acrylic (Sunbrella) or Olefin fabric canopies. These are synthetic, colour-fast products which will not rot or mildew.
- Aluminium frames which are powder coated. Some have flexible fibreglass struts.
- Steel cable or Teflon rope-cable for raising or lowering. These last longer than the common nylon rope-cable.
- Have auto-tilt or collar-tilt feature which eliminates the push button reach.
- Are repairable. Many umbrellas do not have available repair parts.
- One and two year warranties.
